Good morning, So at karate there are different colored plastic boards that represent each belt - the "higher" the board color the harder it is to break. I have not been able to pass the brown belt one but last night I finally succeeded! I took brown down! Sensei then brought forth the ultimate challenge - the Black board. Bum-bum-bum. After bruising my palm that board too went down! Whoohooo! I broke the black one!! :) Sensei said he has only had around 5 people that could break that one in 19 years of karate! I wanted to share with you first and I wanted to share a couple of pics taken with my Leica camera! Lisa
On to a positive note... I received my final brown belt last night! :) I will skip my tip next month and that way the kids and I will be even again. They will get their final brown belt next month and then we will all test for our Black belts in September (at least that's the plan). Joshua was nice enough to perform a kata in my place at the ceremony since I couldn't do it.
